Trying to work out how to make a double sided pouch

This should be simple. I'm convinced it is simple but I have no spatial awareness so may be talking out of my arse.

I want to make a double sided pouch for fabric face masks, with a 'clean' side and a 'dirty' side. In my visions it's like those simple pouches made for packets of tissues.

I think it ought to be simple to do - in my mind I make one of the pouches then sew it to the back of the fabric I'm making a second pouch from. I have tried googling but I'm a bit rubbish at googling because i never know what to call the thing I'm searching for. I've ended up with lots of zipped pouches etc.

I can do this yes?
I just have to take the leap, have a go in scrap fabric and work it out......

Unless any of you know what I'm talking about and have any ideas!

Do you mean a pouch in which to store face masks? With one compartment for clean masks and another for dirty?

Should be quite easy but what type of closure do you have in mind?

Do you have a large piece of paper you could try it out on? Place it in landscape position, fold the right side inwards almost to the centre, repeat with the left side, imagine stitching around the edges but leave the openings free. You could fold it back on itself and stitch in place.

Although with fabric you'd need to think about hemming - maybe stitch right sides together and turn out, finishing off the little unsewn edges.

Make 2 pouches. Turn one inside out, put other pouch ( this stays right way round) inside this one. You will see seam allowance on outside of outer bag and inside of inner bag. Sew tops together leaving a small hole to turn right side out.

If you are doing a draw string closure you can just put one bag inside the other the other way round, so you see no seem allowance, then fold some fabric over to make casing for drawstring

I was thinking of doing bags, but separately so that the dirty one can go in the wash with the masks. I think I'm going to do an envelope/pillowcase style closure, and a pale colour for fresh, dark for used.

Or if you’re trying to avoid zips (?) you just need to think of it as a shorter (but full width) pocket on the front of the full pouch & the closure folds over both.

DameFanny after a lot of googling I think I may well go with two bags and wash the used one.
Gibbonsgibbonsgibbons I was, indeed, trying to avoid zips! They are my nemesis despite doing several sewing courses devoted to them!
I'm up to my ears in masks so why I am now wandering off on a flight of fancy for bags and pouches I do not know!

If it helps at all a zip in clothes is quite a different thing to a zip pouch/pocket - if you can sew a straight (ish) line you can make a zip pouch. (I have a suspicion that all the zip & sewing jersey fabric anxiety has been generated by the people running the courses my kids can do both & I swear it’s because they don’t know it’s supposed to be harder!)
