How do i get an oil painting cleaned?

I have recently acquired an oil painting that my dear grandad painted for my mum when we were young. It's only a Constable copy, but nevertheless, as it was painted by my grandad it has great sentimental value to me. Trouble is, my mum is a heavy smoker so now the painting is discoloured with 20 years of nicotene and general dirt. Does anyone know of any places in Kent that can clean oil paintings for a not-too-princely sum? I have no idea how much it costs to get stuff like that done. I would also like to have the picture reframed too as the current frame is very old and knackered.

Any help or pointers in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!

Thanx!

Hi RG,
I work at an art gallery in london but I only know london quite top end restorers so unfortunately I'm not that useful to you. Have you contacted any local auctioneers? They might be able to help, or put you in touch with some local art dealers who are sure to know somebody. Bentleys Fine Art Auctioneers are in Kent, they have a website www.bentleysfineartauctioneers.co.uk/

I hope this helps set the ball rolling.
