Now’s the time to get started on a festive wreath!
Pattern for my snowman knitted wreath here (shameless plug!) 😉

It's not even July and you have mentioned the C word. Grin

Right, loving this tbh (and usually im a huge scrooge) BUT every year i have this huge desire to do 'homemade Christmas' this thread has just popped up on active chats and caught my eye.

DC (6) is only in school 2 days a week atm, lots of time to have to try and entertain him with!
Please show me Christmas crafts to do, especially with DC and we will get an ultimate head start!

I actually might do the homemade Christmas of my dreams! Lol.

Hit me with your craft ideas!

I've got your pattern doodlejump1980 and I bought a polystyrene wreath before lockdown so I'm going to make it this year! If I finish it in time I would like to donate it to the Woolly Hugs Christmas sale. Would that be ok by you?

@Littlebyerockerboo the obvious thing to get cracking on is homemade cards. Pinterest is your friend for ideas but ones using hand or footprints are good.
Paper chains
Homemade advent calendar
Collecting pine cones and painting them/dipping in glue and glitter.
Paper snowflakes to decorate windows.
Making pom-poms and turning them into a wreath.
Peg dolly nativity scene
Hobbycraft sell papier-mâché shapes that could be painted or decoupaged to make festive words or gift boxes.
Gingerbread house - most supermarkets do a kit but the recipe is quite simple.
Homemade Christmas cake and pudding.

@TheWoollybacksWife absolutely! Post a picture of it when it’s done 😊

I want to knit/crochet tree decorations then tack them to plain cards. A little gift and greeting card in one.

I keep meaning to make Christmas bunting for the woolley hug sale. There are good YouTube tutorials on bunting and it's easy to make.

In the meantime I'm making crochet and quilted blankets. So I can hide from the other dreaded C word in cosy comfort
