Where can I get plastic zips from for craft?

I have been looking on line for plastic zips and not having much luck as I can't see what the zips are made from. I've been looking on Amazon as I want to buy bulk and different colours. As I don't know what size zip I need, I thought it would be a good idea to buy the longer zip and cut down the zip to the size required.

** Disclaimer - I have never bought a zip or put a zip in something. I know nothing!! I'm not even sure you can cut a zip down !

You can indeed cut down zips, and even buy them by the metre. Some here

Thanks, I saw that you can buy a continuous zip but I wanted different colours. It's a mine field!!
