Dunelm Roman blind pocket tape mystery

Hi all, has anyone ever used the Dunelm Roman blind pocket tape before? How in god’s name is it supposed to work? 😩 I have made these blinds before but cannot work out how the tape is supposed to work to affix to the lining and house a rod. Please can anyone help? There are no instructions on the pack. Many thanks in advance 😊

Assuming that all tape is the same, you might find the answer (hopefully with photos or a video!) via google. There were lots of hits for "how to use roman blind tape"

Soupdragon Thanks - but it is not like any of the other blind tapes anywhere and there’s nothing on YouTube or on Google, plus zero info on Dunelm’s website. I’ll have to pop into the local store and ask them.

Hello Pandamumma, I have been searching the internet for the answer to this question too! I don’t suppose you have already found out? I might pay a visit to my local Dunelm to see if they can advise.

Hi JulieV, I raised a query on Dunelm’s website and they came back with a YouTube video on Terry’s Fabrics but nothing specifically on their tape. I popped into Dunelm and asked the haberdashery lady but she was none the wiser. I’ve now gone back to Dunelm and told them that their suggested video doesn’t help and asking them to do an actual demo with a real life example. I’ve heard no more to date. All I’ve been doing with the blind tape is to fold it in half lengthwise and create a rod pocket By sewing it along the length. I’m sure that’s not what you’re supposed to do as it’s over-engineered for it just to be that 😁. Good luck with your enquiries in store, maybe you’ll have more luck - I went to the Swindon store but you may find someone who actually knows how to use it properly. If you do could you please let me know? I’d love to solve the mystery!
