Aldi die cutter - problems with the cactus

heyholetsgogogo · 07/06/2020 15:43

I purchased a mini die cutter from the Aldi
The cactus will just not go through - was fine yesterday

Is this likely to be a problem with
A) the die
B) the cutter
C) operator error

I've turned the die round, used yesterday's card and still nothing.

Every time I get crafty - something scuppers it and I don't fancy the trials of returning it.
Luckily Aldi will accept returns forever

I've had a lot on and all replacements seem more expensive

Any suggestions - thanks

Do you mean it won't go through the machine or Cut through the card?

SoupDragon · 07/06/2020 16:25

If it's not cutting thorough, is there some kind of "padding" plate that has to go with the die and card?

Do other dies work? What is your sandwich?

heyholetsgogogo · 07/06/2020 16:26

Will not go through the machine - even holding plates together and giving it a helping hand

MP - the ladybird will go through ( I had to run the embosser and give it some assistance ) The sandwich is per instructions
Clear plate b
Die
Card
Bed

It will not go through with no card. That's what us making me think the die or the machine.

Thanks for help so far

If the other idea work in the same sandwich, it sounds like an issue with the die, it may be warped? Does a sandwich with no die go through the machine? If so it's not an issue with the machine
