So, I am thinking about closing my FB shop

Not really corona related just I tend to sell better face to face and I am to some extent not finding my target audience on-line

Has anyone else done this and is it a daft move? I sell eco-clothing (if it matters) and I am wondering if the whole mail order thing goes against my usp

Maybe you should switch to making eco face masks for when we all need to start wearing them. Scotland is already being advised to wear a face covering when in an enclosed space

Is Mail Order any less eco-friendly than you and your potential customers driving to a craft fair?

Something that came into my mind whilst ironing the worst home made bias binding in the world 😂

I think it's 6 of one and half a dozen of the other

I'm like to set up craft fairs by train but that's impossible

In my dream I get one of the new electric camper vans and tour craft fairs using that! But I think this year that's a washout (&I can't afford one)

I was asked to be guest artist at a festival this year which was exciting even if it's not going to happen

I think it's the format of the fb shop that distressed me it's untidy maybe individual albums with specific items in, an album of sold work and perhaps posts grouping similar items together would 'look' better?

I have closed it and announced it

I feel much happier with that decision

So now I need to think about how and where I sell - I can do individual items on Marketplace - I wonder if I need to watermark the pictures somehow?

Possibly restarting Folksy and looking in to Depop maybe?

Back to sewing - I need to stop agonising about everything

I'm really disappointed I wont get to be the guest artist this year but hope I might get the opportunity to do it again one day
