First attempt. Wanted to do this for so long, finally got what I needed. Done my research and this!!!!

I'm gutted.

This was goats milk, honey, coconut oil, oats and water and lye obviously.

Not a soap maker yet, but I've done a lot of reading about it because I'd like to make it. It looks like the goat's milk has scorched by the chemical reaction with the lye. Apparently this happens if you use fresh, ambient temperature milk, as something, possibly the milk sugar gets burnt. I think it's recommended to freeze the milk before use, to moderate the heat that is produced by the chemical reaction.

I read about 2 different methods, one was freezing the goat milk. Think I'll try that next time and I'll have a look at that forum. Thank you
