Knitting needles advice

Going to buy some knitting needles to start a cardigan for my granddaughter
The pattern I found says I need 3,4,and 5 mm needles
If I buy a set of the bamboo ones (amazon) these are cheaper but are they awful?
I may just do this for a few months...

I've got a set of the amazon ones and they're fine. As with all needles avoid sitting them - as they bend! I speak from bitter experience 🤣

I don't use straight needles but the bamboo circular needles from eBay, under £5 for a set of 18 different sizes from a UK seller, are just fine. They're not as good as my HiyaHiyas but they're about 1/20th the price and if they were all I had I really wouldn't mind. They're a bit rough at first but that's easily fixed by rubbing them with furniture polish and either a rough cloth or very fine steel wool, then polishing with a soft cloth.
