OK, exactly what the title says.
I've got an idea for a tool, but need some idea about how to make a pattern, a mould and laying hands on the stuff to fill the mould.
It would consist of a solid handle, with a large 'platform' (like a mutant washing up sponge - but without the sponge) onto which a chemical resistant, silicone 'process' would be moulded onto the 'platform'.
I'm visualising a two step process - first creating the handle with platform and then sticking that into a mould, into which the chemically resistant silicone would be poured - thereby coating the platform with silicone.
But not the handle.
I have no idea what to make the original pattern with, have some idea about how to create moulds and have no idea about the specs/technical data about the different silicones.
I know this is a long shot, but does anyone do anything like this?
Can anyone point me towards suppliers?
There's only so much housework I'm prepared to do during self isolation.
