Air Dry Clay Advice

What is the best glaze/ gloss for finished items please ?
Any really good beginner books ? For nice home decor ideas..

Clear spray lacquer. Use it in well ventilated area and make sure air dry clay is completely dry before painting and wait for that to be completely dry before spraying lacquer. do two or three thin coats of lacquer letting it dry as instructed on can before additional coats.
As for ideas google pinterest and youtube, save your money for the clay paints and lacquer.

I made lots of Xmas tree decorations with the clay. I spray painted them (outdoors) with car metallic paint which worked well as a base.
