Paper for watercolours

Hello
Only just starting to teach myself watercolours, but I also use them in a club with children. I buy all the supplies myself and watercolour paper is so expensive. I was wondering what's the cheapest watercolour paper I can get away with and where to get it from. I do feel that the paper is important to get the full watercolour experience, but at the moment the price is putting me off. Thanks so much.

Wilko do cheap pads that are fine for children/beginners to learn watercolour on: www.wilko.com/en-uk/wilko-lets-create-a4-watercolour-pad-24-sheets/p/0415384

And also try the Works.

For yourself try Cass Art online. They provide A4 & A3 50 sheets per pad of watercolour paper for about 40p and 60p per sheet.
