Going nuts - free dk baby cardi pattern ???

Please please has anyone a link to a free knitting pattern for a basic cardigan to fit 6-12 months. I have wasted hours looking on Google and Pinterest, almost impossible to filter out the US patterns using different gauges of yarn. A lot of the downloads I found were discontinued or want payment. Some are 'free' if you buy the yarn, fair enough, but I've already got the yarn I want.

Ravelry is your friend. There will be loads

I second Ravelry. Wonderful site for patterns, many of them free. Also look at knitty dot com. Its an online knittig magazine and may do some kiddy patterns.

I've signed into revelry and searched but I can't see any of the photos. So, so frustrating …..

Here
www.ravelry.com/patterns/search#craft=knitting&weight=dk&availability=free&pc=cardigan&fit=baby&sort=popularity&view=small_mobile

The advanced search takes a bit of getting used to but it's worth it. You can't search specifically for 6-12 months so you'll have to check to see if the ones you like have the right size, but that link has all the free DK cardigan patterns for babies sorted by popularity.

I like the patterns by Marianna-Mel on Ravelry. Many of them are sized for premature babies but there are a couple in the age range you are looking at. The Babbity Baby Jacket is lovely and has the advantage of being designed in such a way that it has very few seams.

I really love some of the patterns here on this vintage knitting site:

freevintageknitting.com/baby.html

My great aunt used to work in a wool shop and I inherited her huge archive of vintage patterns. My friends always ask me to make something from them for their babies.

Many thanks everyone, I have found a pattern and am grateful for your prompt and kind assistance 😄💐
