Having just decided to give my crocheting another go, I’ve dug out my WIP - a basic granny square blanket ℅ Bella Coco BUT … my crochet hook is SO sticky! What can I clean it with??

I am also sad enough that I have a spreadsheet to ensure no squares are replicated! Now off to relearn how to make them!

I just wash mine with hot soapy water and dry them well if they need cleaning.
Love the blanket!

I tried that but it’s still sticky - claggy really. And though a delightful orange originally, it’s now a fluffy black. Black cats and claggy handles don’t mix!

Maybe try wiping it with something like a screen wipe or glasses wipe. Something with an alcohol base.

Otherwise neat washing up liquid might work - it's usually the best thing on my cooker hood when it gets a bit greasy/dusty.
