I have recently started a sewing vlog to capture my journey throught he world of sewing and quilting. I am a relatively new sewer (1 year) so getting to grips with all the new skills I am learning. I am looking to see what you look out for in your youtube videos so they are helpful for anyone who stumbles upon them.

I'll be blunt, not something done by a beginner. I want videos by someone who is much more knowledgeable than I am. otherwise good sharp images, not too much inane chatter.

I just want sewing related chat. Nothing personal. I don't care about your latest doctors appt. Don't use the word journey... that's enough to make me not watch.

I want fabric hauls, shop recommendations, pattern reviews, sew alongs, pattern hacks, book reviews. I want to learn something new so I tend to subscribe to more experienced sewists than myself.

From knitting, sewing or quilting blogs, I want someone who is better than me. I don't want to watch and think no, you don't do it like that. I want to learn from you. Look at the Missouri Star Quilt Company and Jenny Doan, she has been sewing for years and it shows... if it goes wrong, she can tell you why and how to correct it but I know each time I watch I will pick up something.

I won't watch you every week because I will know what I need to know, often it is confirming a technique, just a reminder. Finally did not spin it out, do it a couple of times but remember this is not a drama.
