Have several Phildar ones which I could copy and send you if you let me have an address

There are two in 'Adorable Knits for Tiny Tots' by Zoe Mellor - I haven't made either of them though so can't comment on how good they are!

I'm currently making the one in Erika Knight's Simple Knits for Little Cherubs. It's sleeveless and quite straightforward. The pattern uses denim yarn which shrinks and the pattern allows for this. Unfortunately I didn't notice this and I'm using yarn that doesn't shrink so not sure how it's going to turn out!

debbie bliss does a lovely sleeveless cotton knit dress in one of her books.

There's Anouk from Knitty, if you like that (easily adapted, too). There are several nice Debbie Bliss ones too, but I can't remember the book- Family Knits, maybe?

Tatties · 02/09/2007 21:18

This is a top from Knitty, but if you like it I think you could adapt it into a dress.

kiskidee · 03/09/2007 04:22

Both those knitty ideas are gorgeous. mmmm. ideas ideas. thanks all!

oooh, there's a lovely one in this book, a kind of tunic style but with ruffles round the hem - really sweet and girly but not too frilly - I was hoping ds2 might be a girl purely so I could make it!!

tigerschick · 03/09/2007 15:23

here is the Debbie Bliss one.
I made it for dd and it is very cute and very easy to make.

TheChickenLady · 03/09/2007 22:47

I second what fleacircus says about the Zoe Mellor books, both dresses look lovely.

Looking for a dress for Kiskidee I found Lesley Ann Price's book Kidsknits, which I've had for years but hadn't looked at for ages. There are some very pretty, some quite experienced makes in there, about three dresses but all sorts of other stuff as well
