I've seen vintage stools covered in it and want to make my own...

how big is the stool??...I'd buy and repurpose a cushion if it's not giant

Top surface is 60 x 50cm and I have a smaller one I may do too so I think I'll calculate how much I need.

On Etsy I think it's the "alpaca" stuff I like the most - super long pile, more kitsch the better 😂
