I need to make multiple camel costumes quickly

Initial thoughts are tabard out of camel coloured felt or faux fur depending on what I can get cheapest. Tail and furry legwarmers perhaps. Hump on the back. All ok so far

However I was thinking a hood with ears but would like to make the head more camel like so it looks less brown cow with a hump and more obvious camel head. Any inspiration how I could do this quickly/easily? I’ve experimented tonight with some cardboard to create a camel nose shape on the top of the hood but it’s not really working

@GookledyGobb do your camels need to use their hands? I have seen children dressed as camels at a nativity play wearing brown tunics with humps and tails, tights and leg warmers and holding a stick with a camel head on. Not really doable if they need to use their hands though.

Or you could use a broom handle and do a camel head hobby horse style.

This is where I got to last night - I’ll print some masks. But that got shot down as they need hands. Have prototyped a hobby horse type camel head today and am planning to mount it on a headband or an elastic strap!

I made a wolf costume years ago with a hood sewn onto a baseball cap; the peak of the cap supported the snout.
