stick onto a mirror, picture frame or box?

what about a cheap lampshade, make a pattern and glue them on?

A friend has glued them onto a wooden box and it looks quite nice.

Ours are in the sandpit. With occasional forays into the water table accompanied by a selection of rubber fish, sharks etc.

But if DD is an older child, then what everyone else said.
