Self adhesive Velcro

Put this on the SN section but wondered if my fellow crafters could help!

I am desperately making up more resources for my DDs speech & language work (she has Down Syndrome)and I need a cheap supply of sticky velcro - either dots or strips I can cut myself.

Has anyone come across any please?

i have some in my sewing box. i think i must have bought it from supermarket type place. probly where you find stuff like wonderweb etc,
or look in a craft shop?
if you are doing it for material, i found it completly useless, as the stickof the velcro was more than the stickyness of the glue. so it didnt stick tothe amterial, and had to be sewn on anyways.
not usre about sticking on harder surfaces.

Sounds daft but sometimes this comes up in £1 shops!
I know they sell it in my local market, strips of it that is, by the metre, I can have a look on Friday for price if you want?

I usualy buy it form haberdasheries- found you can get the really long pieces then- so cheaper. Tescos staples etc sometimes have it, but way more expensive.

I used to work for a SN Pre-school and we used to get through bucketloads of the stuff with PECS and TEACCH cards etc - used to get it from a fabric shop where they sell by the metre - much cheaper than the pre-packed stuff IIRC

My local fabric shop sells it by the metre. You can buy either side too iykwim. choice of colour too

I want it for sticking to the back of laminated pictures and words. I have amde up a felt board so I can stick straight onto that but need something a bit more practical.

That's the stuff we used - is it for making boards to store cards on and sentence strips and stuff - looks a good price as well £1.45 for a metre.

I usually manage to get a reel of sticky velcro dots from craft shops. They can cost up to 4.99 though
