I want to make a child a Xmas cardi in something like this. I thought of putting in tiny pearls and star shape pear buttons so it’s Christmassy, in a sort of nighttime colour

BUT, this is Aran and l need DK. Is it s bulky Aran? I know l could go down a needle size, but l just wondered if anyone had used it.

I have the perfect pattern, but it’s dk. I’m restricted to what yarns l can use as I’m severely allergic to wool, and acrylic and polyester can also caused issues.

Any advice?

My gut feeling is that it wold be fine. I've not used it as I don't like fluff but I've used similar ones that I got in a mixed bag and that was thin but made "fat" with the fluff. You might have to adjust the sizing if it is coming up large.

It's 30% off at the moment too.

A bit late, however I'm sure it will be fine treated as DK. I have just started knitting a pattern using that yarn but have used smaller needles than the ball band recommends. In fact I would agree with SoupDragon. I find Drops yarn generally is good quality at a bargainous price.
