Removing Wondaweb glue

I have removed some hemming tape (Wundaweb), following the instructions; dry iron over a wet cloth. There is now a sticky residue left on the fabric. I have soaked with Fairy Liquids and washed in the machine and its still there.

Can anyone advise me or have I just ruined a nice garment ?

Try De-Solv-it sticky stuff remover.
I used it to remove glue from an upholstery seat pad and it worked well.
Have also used it on a shirt with no ill effects.
Available on line or, I think I bought the last lot from The Range.

Surgical spirit / rubbing alcohol worked for me - soak a cotton ball and gently rub the dried webbing - check colour-fastness first!
