Please help me find a Yarn

I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction to find a certain yarn.

I'm planning on making a scarf in black and grey I absolutely love this tweedy grey but they don't do a black in the same range.

Does anyone know of a range that does a black which would compliment the grey?
All suggestions will be gratefully received.

Lovely grey yarn.

Possibly this Scheepjes yarn would complement it.

Thank you Woolly - that certainly looks like a contender.

This is the scarf I'm planning on doing hopefully with a black middle and grey edges

I'm hoping it won't be "too much" with my chosen colours.
DD thinks I should opt for a dark grey middle instead of black - any opinions??

That's a lovely pattern. Unless the scarf is for your DH I think you should stick with your original black/grey combination and have two clearly defined colours. Dark grey/light grey might give you more of an ombré effect and if you are anything like me you'd be dissatisfied with the results if you didn't go with your original colours.

Thank you - you're right.
I'll stick to my original colours.

Numerous times in the past I've changed my mind at the last minute and usually regretted it.
By using black and grey I'll have clearly defined colour blocks which should work well together.

The scheepjes yarn mentioned above is lovely.

I also love Drops Nepal - Aran weight, mix of wool and alpaca is lovely. They don’t do tweeds. Personally I try not to mix yarns / fibre types in one project as they wash and wear differently so I’d try to use two from the same range.

I personally think that scarf might look nicer in a marl than a tweed (so a grey and a black from the scheepjes stone washed for example).

I used it for these big toys in the middle and their scarves (which are knitted) and you can see that it comes out quite marled.

Thank you for everyone's input.

In the end I went for Lion Brand Heartlands in these 2 colours (Black Canyon and Great Smokey Mountains).

I'm slightly disappointed that the end product is only 72" long (6ft).

My starting chain measured much longer - I clearly crochet quite tightly so I should have factored that in.

On the whole it's a perfectly wearable warm scarf so it's onwards and upwards for my next (to be decided) project.
