Hi wise mumsnet knitters

I hope someone can read the below linked pattern an tell me if /where i have gone wrong ( i have watched the video several times and still cant work it out). I also used less than half the required yarn so i know I’ve gone wrong,

I ended up with a long very narrow shawl/curved triangle that lacks width and looks nothing like the pattern photos.

I cast on and worked to the last six stitches wrapped the stitch turned the work and worked back. On the next row worked to the last 12th stitch wrapped the stitch turned and worked back and continued on until i reached the last six stitches having made a wedge then i worked the next row picking up all the stitches to the end of the row (all 156 stitches)

I then worked the open pattern stitch back casting on the extra 20 stitches. on the next row i then worked to 150th stitch wrapped the stitch turned the work and worked and continued back and continued as before for that section,

After each increase of 20 stitches i only worked to 150th stitch. and i made all 10 sections...... I just cant figure it out

I am using a different yarn but is the same weight & ply as the katia yarn and the same/correct size needles

I have no photos as I ripped it all back to start again and have cast on the 156 stitches ready to go again
many thanks for your help

I haven't read the whole pattern... but from the picture it looks like you start with say 150, then add 20 and knit ALL those stitches and so on so that by the end you have a lot more on your needles.

Lovely pattern though.
