I'm selling a hand made by me bag on eBay and have 5 watchers and had a ASQ last night asking can they collect. It really looks like it might sell!!!

I'm really pleased and just had to tell someone. Woo Hoo!

It covered in glue and then VArnish, so it's actually quite water resistant. I made one for myslef and took it out in a gentle rain just to check and had no probs. I made a purse and covered it the same way and held it under the tap for a while and it was fine. I was pretty surprised really.

thanks miaou, I'm hoping for at least £10 as that will cover the cost of glue, varnish etc. But i would be just as excited if it sold for the starting price. CAnt wait!

No it's purely paper. I thought of lining it but wasn't too sure how to go about it without it looking really messy. Might have a go again as I have plenty of fabric lying around.

Thanks everyone. I'm glad noone went "what a load of rubbish, who would want that" DH was very sceptical when I told him I was going to try and sell one.

LOL, I know what you mean, I also have an bag addiction. My latest excuses have been, the bag I was using broke while I was out so I needed to buy another. or Isn't mum nice to buy me a present. Luckily my DH spends more on his hobby than I ever could on bags.

Yes, I saw a similar but better made one on etsy for, iirc $150. Thats why I thought I would try ebay. maybe I'll put one on there too if it sells on ebay.

Thanks for you kind comments everone. More people seem to like it that I would ever have thought. Watchers are still rising. Is it all you MNers just wanting to see if it sells?
