Dying hiccup!

Made a kaftan for my mum's birthday out of a vintage violet tablecloth.....she announced she 'doen't like purple' so I have dyed it navy

But the stitching hasn't dyed - so do I un[pick and re-stitch or be very careful with a blue sharpie?

The thread will be polyester. It depends how noticeable it is and whether you think that's an issue. I'd leave it and maybe use the Sharpie only where it's very obvious.

It was very noticeable so I un-picked and re-sewed and it looks great

But she wanted it changed so I now have to shape and shorten the hem
