Crochet - fools guide

I've tried in the past and failed.
Now my DD's are 10&13, I've set us a family challenge to make squares, for blankets, for the homeless/charity/refuge etc.

I really need a fool's guide to
Crochet. Please help! What can you all
Advise?

Bella coco tutorials on youtube.

Learn basic chains, singles, and doubles/ trebles (depending whether you go for uk or American terms) before trying to make stuff.

Check out Lucy at Attic24 for lovely tutorials with lots of pics too
