WANTED: Black wool? Anyone got any lying around?

Just thought i'd ask on the off chance...

Need a lot of black wool for making egyptian wigs at a childrens holiday club. Just wondered if any of you knitters had half balls of it kicking about unwanted?

otherwise, you could use some thinly shredded black paper. let me know how it goes

I don't have any black but, if I want spare odds and ends of wool, I look in charity shops. Our Age Concern gets lots of odd balls of wool.
