Never dyed any thing in my life and was wondering is it easy and what are the best dyes.
Any tips or advice would be great

I use dylon machine dyes to re-colour black clothes when they look a bit old/grey. I've always found them very good and easy to use. I've never drasticly changed the colour of anything though (except some dressing up bits and bots for the kids). I worry about dying white especially as if you have a white t-shirt and want to dye it green, for example, I think you'd still end up with white stitching on the hems as the thread for the hems isn't usually cotton and not so good at taking on the new colour. But if you're making a subtle colour change say from pink to red it may not be so obvious perhaps....
