Must be in UK speak (I can’t cope with the conversion!) but chart or written is fine.

I want something which uses a fine yarn and a fine hook. Open, lacey and not heavy. Fiddly is fine. I like not straight edges and some dangly bits would be okay too.

Have tried Ravelry but nothing is quite right and all mostly US.

Thank you!!

Have you tried Pinterest?

I couldn't see the same but there are some lovely patterns on there!

Alabasterangel6 · 11/07/2019 20:25

Yes - I find it like rabbit holes! The patterns lead you to a website that lead you to a link and then the sodding pattern is US or ‘no longer available’ or in Russian or Greek! Grin I’ve spent that long searching I could have made 3 !

Try looking in lace crochet books. There's some lovely ones on amazon, or in your local wool shop?

What about this? There is a filter option on Ravelry to only show patterns written in UK terminology or using a certain hook size, yarn weight etc.

Try the Love Craft website, they have hundreds of free patterns and you can filter what you are looking for.

I'm on holiday at the moment but your pic looks pretty similar to one that I have on the go at home

I think most of the ones I've seen are US.

It's well worth learning to be bilingual!

Alabasterangel6 · 12/07/2019 14:41

Thank you all.

If pushed I’ll use US and make my own notes on the pattern but it would be easier not to!

@TheWoollybacksWife that’s very close! I could reduce the pattern width I guess so it’s not so big. And I think I’ll order some books from the library too.
I didn’t know about love crafts - another rabbit hole to explore!!! Grin

I've used so many US patterns that I have to think before using a U.K. one now.

I daren't look at Love Crafts having already fallen down the Ravelry rabbit hole on the back of this thread 😂
