I haven’t used a sewing machine since I was at school, so I’m looking for a fairly simple but robust model. I want to be able to sew fabric bags mostly, but also cotton webbing for straps.
There’s a Brother XL-5500 on a local selling group for £80 - the model gets decent reviews online but how will I know if it’s any good? What am I looking for?
Help please, £80 is quite a lot of money to me and I don’t want to buy a pig in a poke
