Quilting fabric ok for baby clothes?

I've started making harem pants for my son out of Jersey and tshirt material but was also looking online for some interesting patterns - have seen some excellent prints but they are described as suitable for quilting and don't state suitable for clothing. I can get big enough pieces for the things i want to make but just wanted to check whether i am missing something on the right kind of material to use. Thanks!

I've used them. Just make sure you prewash them. I'd also recommend the Oliver+s lullaby layette set. Such a lovely baby sewing pattern and makes great gifts

I think quilting cotton can be a great weight for baby clothes that should wash and dry easily. Hope it works out!
