I have had the most inspiring and amazing weekend at the Days for Girls conference. This international group of incredible women make and distribute reuseable sanitary protection kits for women and girls across the world.
They also advocate for women’s menstrual health and help set up social enterprises in the countries they serve to empower local women to find sustainable ways to continue meeting their needs.
As we know education of women is one of the most important determinants of infant mortality. By giving girls solutions so they can continue to go to school when they have their period it is truly life changing.
There are a number of teams across the country but we are just starting in East Anglia where I live and work.
I'm looking for help to contact crafty women to put their amazing sewing skills to use. Any ideas about how to reach out to other women?
