Help needed as I never know when to stop.
Would you embroider the bag as well as tithe glasses case and purse ? Put matching buttons on sides of handles ?
The bag is made from an old wool blanket.
Many thanks Smile

What a beautiful bag etc.
A lot depends upon who it is for.
I think a little bit on the blue tope edging of the bag would bring it all together, but not too much..

Thanks @cheekaa
I'm starting to put together a collection to maybe sell online once I've made quite a few.
The blanket I'm cutting up is huge and I enjoy doing the embroidery so I'll sell it fairly cheap but I do have a tendency to overdo Smile
But yes I think a little on the bag to pull it together as a set ! Thank you x

Yes, definitely. The bag looks plain in comparison and it's the embroidery that is so beautiful.

@FreshAprilStart thank you, would you use same colour and design or just greenery?

That's lovely work. I'd go for a small amount of the green and pink to one side of the big blue band at the top of the bag and then maybe a couple of buttons at the bottom of the strap.

babysharkah · 03/05/2019 13:33

Oh goodness if you're capable go for, it'll be lovely!

Thanks for all the input. Have now realised that I can't embroider the front of bag ad I didn't line it so back of threads would be seen. Lesson learnt .. next one will be lined. So have embroidered up about four to five inches of handle ... not sure whether to keep going or stop. Smile I usually do too much !

I think that's perfect anymore and you run the risk of it getting dragged at every time the bag is handled.

Thegardenismine · 03/05/2019 14:03

I'll put the needle down Wink
Thank you all for your replies it's meant a lot to have a little boost of confidence. X
