Can anyone re-set a stone into a ring for my mum?

She has the ring.. and she has the stone (albeit off Ebay.. so probably not very valuable at all!!).. and needs it to "look good" before she goes on holiday with the friend who gave her this ring.. and asks where it is!

Coming clean is not an option apparently!

Your local jeweller should be able to do it for her. Thouogh it may need to be sent away so make sure you are going to get it back o time

Yes, it's quite a skilled job to re-set at stone - I'd try a smaller independent jeweller rather than a large chain though, as you may get better service / price - get a few quotes as prices can vary greatly

Do you have a Uni or Art College nearby? I bet a student doing jewellery would be able to do this for you for almost no charge!
