anyone know how to make t-shirts, silk screening etc? beyond just using that puffy paint stuff?

I'm freeling very uninspired at the moment and i thought if i tried something new it might inspire me some.. and possibly make a few presents in the process for upcoming birthdays...

I suppose i could design/draw something and maybe take that to a printers... or do the iron on printer thing.. i dunno...

BTW new nickname I'm Daemara normally...

I know how to do silk screen printing but its pretty expenisve to set up at home and you are often better off using someone elses (ie. an artists) studio to do it, if you know of anyone?

I did post a link to how to do it cheaply at home once...will try and find it

If you can do a design on your PC (or freehand and scan in) you can go somewhere like www.cafepress.com, upload your design and have it printed on all manner of things.

ok have been messing about with my cheap t-shirt from primark, supposedly ecofriendly.. and my laundry pen anyway this is what i have made.. any opinions? i'm quite happy with it and considering doing some more.. either trying to do the cheap screen printing or at least designing a few logos and having them printed up for a few family/friends that i have the ideas for... anyway without further ado here is my t-shirt

sorry the pic was onyl taken with my phone camera

i particularly like your tree bag! you're very talented

Meridian · 02/09/2007 16:21

warthog- thank you.. the tree design is my favourite too. this is the first time in a very long while that i have felt creative at all. as for talent i'll just say that there are alot of very very talented ladies on mn and i wish i was as talented as some of them.

or perhaps i just wish i could follow a knitting pattern without gettign into a complete muddle
