Could you use ordinary metal poppers? Like these?

Thanks but I don't think the sew on ones are as good and they don't look as nice......

Why is it that you don't want to use the plastic ones? I use reusable towels that I bought, and they have plastic poppers which work just fine, and look perfectly nice too.

I'm making them for my daughter who's all about being plastic free so thought metal ones would be better 🙂

Thanks loads. They look perfect, cost more than I thought. I wonder if I could buy that in a shop 🤔

Might she be persuaded to accept plastic fasteners, on the basis that they are going to be used and re-used enough times to offset any potential environmental impact?

£16.99 is quite cheap imo

Prym does good metal and plastic options.
