Have had a new logo designed and I can't choose which one i prefer. I have put both in my profile along with the existing logo which i designed myself when I started the business. Can I have your opinions please

To tell you the truth I'm not keen on any of them .... I think it's the colour.

Not very eye-catching.

Your June 22 scan on the otherhand is amazing!!

I love the concept of the second tag design, but agree the lilac is not working and the background is a bit fussy

(loopy's done one for me too, she's fab!)

It's strange I'm not keen as Lilac is one of my favourite colours.

Think Loopy is obviously very talented from what I've seen of her other work - hoping she will contact me to do me a logo too!!

Maybe a darker shade would be more striking? Or maybe you are happy with subtle?

The country cottage was a good idea but I agree with chippy about the gift tag.

nappyaddict · 09/07/2007 10:16

i like the gift tag looking one but i think the lilac is too wishywashy

I think no. 3 but I'm also not sure about the colour. No. 2 is too difficult to read (prefer font on 3) and I do like no. 1 but don't like the way the title is much longer than the picture IYSWIM

nappyaddict · 09/07/2007 10:29

i like the font and it's colour on no1 so maybe you could use that on the tag design?

lucykate · 09/07/2007 10:30

i think no.1 looks a bit dated, prefer the tag idea, but the background and lettering are too similar in tone, making it difficult to read. i would use 2 different colours, make the background paler and the lettering a stronger, complimentary colour so it stands out more.

Sorry- the writing didn't come out alngside the photos.
The first one with the cottage is mine, the second two are the new ones that i'm trying to decide from.
The first batch that I had were bolder but i don't really like bold especially as it's papers and stuff that I'm selling (scrapbooking supplies)

middle one.

nappyaddict · 09/07/2007 14:38

you don't necessarily need bold all over just the writing slightly bolder. the dark purple from your first logo could work well.

Miaou · 09/07/2007 14:42

I prefer the font on the second one, but think there needs to be a bit more of a (vertical) gap between the words.

How is it mainly going to be viewed - online or in print? That will make quite a difference (if mainly online then I agree with other comments about it needing to be clearer; on paper you can get away with it a bit more)

Pixiefish · 09/07/2007 14:44

Miaou- I have an online business selling scrapbooking supplies. I advertise on UKScrappers and do most of my promotional stuff through there

Go for a bolder shade when it is used for the internet and a more subtle shade on paperwork.
