it's for kids to make at a club in the summer.

am thinking it would be too time consuming / fiddly. please feel free to convince me otherwise.

I suppose an egyptian wig would just be straight and dark. How about getting some black wool and cutting some identical lengths and then sewing them onto a central strip that would run from the front of the head to the crown. You coauld hold it on by making a golden head band type thing like egyptians sometimes wore.

here's a nice pic of one

you could use gold floristry ribbon for the gold bit

Personally I would make it out of foam so it's like a helmet in that thick bob shape, then paint it and spend the rest of the time decorating it with braids, head-dresses etc.

oh... now i had been thinking black wool. but some new options opening?

anyone else?

you could cut out the basic shape in heavy card and attach with a head band, then decorate that with the wool etc
