Mosaic sign for garden

Hi I’m looking for some tips !
I bought a kit last week and I’m hooked to mosaicing
I bought some tiles yesterday from b&q but got home and realised the ceramic ones and glass ones are different depths DERR!

Before I waste any more money is there anywhere I can get an assortment of colours for that will be easy to cut with nippers ?

I did a two day course with this lady about 2 years ago. Decided not to pursue it on my own due to a) my tragic lack of creativity and talent and b) the cost (and c, the eleventy billion other craft projects I had outstanding) but there are some links from her site to mosaic suppliers, which might help you:

Also I seem to remember a warning about choosing bases appropriate for outside, so not wood because the damp would get to it...
