What do you call the sticky fabric stuff?

You know, the stuff you can use for applique? Iron one side onto the fabric, trace the shape, cut it out and pull the rest of the paper away and iron again?

I was thinking Bondweb but that's different.

Wonder web?

SoupDragon · 31/01/2019 08:19

Is it this www.hobbycraft.co.uk/heat-n-bond-iron_on-adhesive-lite/568340-1000

I was thinking wonderweb too, but is that just for sticking two bits of fabric to one another?

RestingBitchFaced · 31/01/2019 08:20

Fablon?

AsMuchUseAsAMarzipanDildo · 31/01/2019 08:23

Bondaweb is the iron-on stuff

AsMuchUseAsAMarzipanDildo · 31/01/2019 08:30

...Or Threaders Fabric Adhesive...or you can get spray???

MacarenaFerreiro · 31/01/2019 08:35

It must be bondaweb - wonderweb is just narrow strips. I was sure I had some which was tracing paper consistency though. Maybe not - it's been a while!!

it's only for a sewing class I'm running at school, thought it would be nice for the girls to be able to cut out a large initial in a contrasting colour and iron it onto their cushions.

Velcro?

DownUdderer · 31/01/2019 09:00

Fusible interfacing! Two brand names I’ve heard of = Steam a seam. Wonder Under. I’m not sure about the uk, probably Amazon sells similar things :)

MacarenaFerreiro · 31/01/2019 09:04

Have heard of Wonder Under (Aussie product I think) and it's the same as Bondaweb. I'm sure Bondaweb is what I'm after. It's been years since I bought it though and couldn't remember.

It's definitely not velcro!!
