Has anyone ever tried making a wool/felt nappy wrap. I have googled a few patterns but wondered if anyone had given this a go or perhaps there has been a thread before?

got my gran to make me some!! used this pattern mywebpages.comcast.net/kfegelman/mehndi_pattern.txt
I'm really pleased with them! I don't knit though so I don't know how easy they were to make?

I can't get that link to work for some reason. I am thinking of getting my MIL to try one she is a much better knitter than me so can probably do a good trial run before I give it a go

I've knitted this one

It was v easy & looks good but I haven't used it on ds yet as I still have to lanolise it. It only took about 75g of DH wool too

Thanks for this, I knitted smaller sized ones from a pattern and wool obtained from an organic nappy supplier, the pants were really chunky, they worked fantastically well.
Have got some DK 100% wool so might try it.
I like a natural nappy cover for night - the fleece ones STINK in the morning, and so does the whole room come to think of it, and his baby sleeping bag. Properly lanolised wool doesn't smell of wee till the lanolin is wearing off.

Of course to really show off my knitting skills I will be picking up and knitting the leg holes on 4 needles and not crocheting!

lol @ 4 needles - show-off!

You can often find 'missing' webpages using the wayback machine.
