felt making?

Have just bought a felt making kit in the charity shop for the huge sum of £3. I have made felt before at one of those large craft show things so know the basics of laying the fibres at 90 degrees then lots of rubbing with bubble wrap.

But what can I actually DO with the felt? The kit has lots of white wool which is refers to as a top layer, then there's four different wools in blue/purple and lots of slub silk. No idea what do do with it at all!

Have a look on Pinterest for ideas, possibly do a flat piece, could be incorporated into a scarf or framed as a picture maybe?

I suspect Google is your friend here. I would have thought you used the white as a base and the others to make a pattern though - maybe you make white felt and then add the decorative bits?

Kirstie Alsopp made red felt inner Christmas show and used it to make little Christmas stockings so I guess you can use it to make anything. Depending on how big is it maybe you could make a cushion cover with it?
