Making long sleeve t-shirts from old babygrows

Hi all,

I thought of dressing our daughter (2yo) in long sleeved t-shirt underneath her pretty shortsleeved summer dresses to extend their life as well as to keep her warmer.

Anyway yesterday I was going through some old long sleeve babygrows and realised that the width is about right, it's just the length that is too short so I cut the bottom part off, straight across, just above the thick leg banding parts and hemmed the edge. I put one on her today, tucking the bottom into her woolly tights and it fits great!

Plus it saves paying out for new clothes! Just thought I'd share!

Well done OP! There's so much we can do with outgrown/discarded clothing, and far too much goes to landfill etc. I love the challenge of making something new from something old, it's unique, satisfying and saves money!
