Has anybody bought the Lidl overlocker?

I saw it was in stock earlier today, I didn't buy it because my bank balance has taken a bit of a bashing recently.

But I so want it, and lovely neat seams. Is it decent quality?

I have it, but I've found it a bit tricky to use, and I tend to use my regular sewing machine with an overcasting foot, TBH.

I would be cautious, OP. When Lidl brought out the Singer sewing machine for £79 in August I bought one, within a month the timing mech hand gone completely SNAFU. Looking at the previous threads on here, it's a mixed bag of 'Ye Gawds No' and 'ooh, look at my lovely seams etc'

Do you mean the singer one they sell? Yes I got it theee years ago. It’s. brilliant.

It comes up every year, October time so start saving now for next year!!

They still have some in my local Lidl, I've not gone for it yet.

You look, did you take it back? Were they alright about refunding it?

I had no problems with getting a refund, which they did at the till. I think making a quilt on it may have been the problem. I don't have enough jersey/knit in ye olde stash to justify buying a serger.
