If so can you recomend any simple patterns etc for a novice? I am currently making granny squares and baby blankets but want to expand my repetoir. Scuze spelling it has never been my strong point.

I want to try anything atm. I am hoping to get a batch of baby items, hats, scarves, gloves and maybe shawls ready for the schools christmas fayre.

I suffer from depression and am finding it very theraputic to sit making something. I am off work at the momment and it helps to fill the time. I tend to get the kids to school, do a bit of house work then have lunch, after lunch I settle with either crochet, knitting or cross stitch until it is time to fetch the kids. It is a pattern I can continue when I return to work as I do evenings and weekends. So it is a case of keeping me busy so I don't dwell to much on things that bring me down.
