Wool recommendation for a baby

I'm looking for some super soft wool that would be appropriate for crocheting a baby's hat please! Also, what size needle would work with it.

If at all possible, multicoloured but not essential!

Some yarn is called 'baby yarn' but I find that any yarn in DK is fine. If you want to soften it, soak it in fabric softener overnight and then rinse thoroughly

Sirdar Snuggly DK is a lovely soft DK and comes in lots of colours (although many yarn shops just stock the boring IMO pastel colours)
