Any Ikea desk/table recommendations for craft amd sewing

Can anyone recommend a sturdy desk from Ikea? I'm doing a big online order soon so it would make sense to add this to it.

I would like to use a sewing machine on it so don't want it to wobble much. It'll be on carpet if that makes any difference. I have two single pax wardrobes with shelves and drawers so I don't need any storage space. I'll also be using it for craft work and as a computer desk.

I have a Norden Table. I wanted something that was easy (small) to store but still could open up wide for pattern and fabric cutting. It does vibrate a bit when sewing at speed but it's better if you put the machine on the centre bit. I put castors with brakes on mine so I could move it around easily.

That looks like a good option, thanks. Good to hear it doesn't wobble too much. It would also free up space should we need to put a camp bed in the room when people are staying over.

I have this. Sewing machine fits inside when not needed. I have made 2 supports for the drop leaf to give added support when using my overlocker

I bought a table top like this and added legs @£2.50 each. The whole thing only cost £25 and is very sturdy; I have my sewing machine on one ( and maybe other crafty stuff on the other two..)

And the table top will fit under a bed, with the un-screwed legs should the space be needed.

I like that one fluffypudcats.

I had looked at the different tops and legs but didn't know how sturdy they would be. Thanks KF I think I'll give that a try as it's such a cheap and flexible option. I won't be using it for sewing daily so mostly for the computer.

Right, off to add to my order.

I wish I'd bought this. I see with it low, and raise it it cut, pin etc.

I have this which is fine, and fits into an alcove perfectly, but is a bit ugle.

I have the Micke desk with drawer and two shelves on one side. Stands up perfectly well to my daily overlocker and sewing machine use. I have a separate cutting table which I made up with three table top pieces and adjustable legs and then attached together with brackets.

I used a dressing table for a while but eventually bought the £6 Linnmon top and £2.50 legs so £16 total. I am do pleased how sturdy it is. Now sewing done yet Blush but lots of computer stuff and shaking printer. It's brilliant!
