Hand Stitching Project Idea?

I'm a seasoned crafter - crochet/knitting and done various sewing projects over the year.

When I had my son (now 4), I abandoned my sewing machine in the main to focus on yarn crafts I could do more quietly on the sofa!

I'm mucking around with a couple of simple sewing projects at the moment and wondered if anyone had ideas about any hand sewing projects I could try? Never fancied cross stitch, but maybe embroidery, English paper piercing, anything else?

Most appreciate any suggestions or blogs/books to take a look at.

Take a look at Natalie Chanin and the Alabama Chanin aesthetic - hand sewn Jersey clothing with or without embellishments. There's 3 or 4 books of patterns and templates. I get all lot of use out of the tied wrap and poncho, and when the weather gets colder I'll go back to living in my long sleeve t-shirt.

The wrap - and the most embroidery examples - is in studio sewing and design (hats on the front). I've also got the studio sewing patterns (dvd with more patterns including the corset which I will get round to one day) plus the geometry of embroidery one. It's all just so gorgeous - take a look at the wedding collection she has online, amazing stuff ❤️
