Sewing machines

My old machine is 27 years old this year and it's a Toyota but the needle keeps exploding and it just grinds to a halt. I think that I want a new machine and as much I think I will be more creative it will be just clothing. Can you give me your recommendations for a reliable machine and if it threads all the better

I have lots of machines, but my favourite is a Janome 8050XL. It's quiet, has variable speed, a good range of stitches including a one step buttonhole, can be used without the foot-pedal - just with a stop/start button - and a needle threader.

I love my Janome!

Jukis are really really quiet, but they're not cheap! Lovely machines though.
